Regulates and inspects health and care services within the United Hampshire wellbeing settlement.

The Care Quality Commission is the independent regulator of health and care services assigned to it. It registers providers where required, monitors quality and safety, inspects services, publishes findings and may take enforcement action where the governing law permits.

CQC regulation is distinct from commissioning, service delivery and professional regulation. Public ratings and enforcement status must be supported by controlled regulatory records.
